I am sure your friend could put you a nice box together. Your feelings about Fleetwood is how I feel about Dell. I have been working with PC a long time. Nothing beats a well built custom system. It doesn’t need to be fancy but it will be better. In your traveling situation you would be best not to have integrated components which is what you will get from a store bought system. Have fun converting all of your programs to Vista! Or buying replacement programs for those that won't run on Vista. I think you said that your machine was being built for you.
