Paul,
Actually, I have cautioned several times that the trip down through the Salt River Canyon from Show Low to Globe can be dangerous if one does not use caution. When I owned the weekly newspaper in Show Low, I covered many fatal accidents on that stretch of highway.

We left Apache Junction a couple of days ago, and are now in Quartzsite. On our way from Iowa to Apache Junction we came down through Sho Low. It looks like a real nice short cut. I remembered it as being your hometown, and you talking about it in your blog several times, but I dont ever recall you telling unwary travelers that it isnt a very good idea to drive from Sho Low to Apache Junction after dark with a 39 foot motorhome with a car on a tow dolly behind! It was quite and adventure! Thank God for the grade brake on our Winnebago Voyage!

Anyway, hope you and Terry get to enjoy some family time.
