South Dakota RV Park Reviews

Rush-No-More Campground, Sturgis  – This friendly Passport America campground has a lot to offer folks who want to be near enough to take in all of the Black Hills activities, yet far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet at the end of a busy day. The park is located in a rural setting, surrounded by hills and trees, yet is only a mile off Interstate 90. Don’t let the narrow road in turn you off, once you arrive you will find 50 full hookup RV sites on grass, with 50/30 amp service, pull-thru, WiFi connections for Internet access, laundry room, a swimming pool, hot tub, and lots of other amenities. The owners are very friendly, and we’ll be returning when we’re in the area.

Hart Ranch Resort, Rapid City  – With tons of amenities that include a swimming pool, clubhouse, Olympic size swimming pool, three hot tubs, laundry, tennis courts, 18-hole miniature golf course, convenience store, cable TV, and game room Hart Ranch is a great base for visiting the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore. Hart Ranch is an RPI and Coast to Coast affiliate park.

Lazy J RV Park & Campground, Rapid City – With its 63 large shaded pull-thru full hookup RV sites with30/50 amp electric, clean restrooms and showers, WiFi internet access, laundromat and convenience store. Lazy J is a friendly family RV park that will make visiting RVers feel welcome. Bus tours leave daily right from the campground to all of the Black Hills’ best attractions.

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park, Rapid City – With 75 30/50 amp full hookup pull-thru sites, over 40 partial hookup sites, laundry, hot tub, and lots of room for kids to play, this is a great place to take the kids and grandkids when you visit the Black Hills. Mount Rushmore is a very short drive away, and the park management is friendly and will make you feel welcome.

Happy Holiday Resort, Rapid City – Frowns are not allowed at this friendly RV park and motel. I can’t remember when we’ve had a better welcome at an RV park. The campground features pull-thru 50 amp sites, as well as 30 amp sites and back-ins. Amenities include a pool, store, game room, clean restrooms and showers, a playground, dog walking area, laundry room, and did I mention the friendly folks who run the place? We liked it a lot and have it on our list of places to return to.
